Some vacations simply stand out in our memories. In October 2003, an international bicycling competition in Hamilton resulted in a school break for the week leading up to Thanksgiving. We headed north to Thessalon, Ontario for an idyllic few days at Limberlost Lodge on Chub Lake. We had the place to ourselves and enjoyed exploring and relaxing amidst the autumn colours.

One of our excursions was 114 miles north of Sault Ste. Marie by means of the Agawa Canyon Tour Train.

In honour of the passing of Kodachrome® (see this post), I have been sorting through my accumulation of digital photos and reliving lots of memories from the past few years. I will post some of my favourites on Fridays for the foreseeable future.

From a very early age, our son dreamed of flying. When he turned twelve, he joined Air Cadets and began to pursue his dream. The first picture is from his inaugural glider flight in November 2003. The expression on his face says it all.

Ten months later, he was awarded his glider wings!

There is pride and a sense of accomplishment painted on the faces of Christopher and his mother!
